Learning & Development Manager

đź•’ Full-time, 35 hours per week - Hybrid
đź’°ÂŁ45,000 - ÂŁ55,000 DOE
We’re exclusively supporting an established and growing professional services business in Leeds with the appointment of a Learning & Development Manager into a brand-new role within the organisation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced L&D professional who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment and wants the opportunity to really make a role their own.
You’ll take ownership of shaping, implementing and evaluating learning strategies that build capability across the organisation, strengthen leadership and create a culture of continuous development.
This is a highly visible, relationship-led role with a strong focus on coordinating and driving L&D activity across the business. Working closely with senior leaders, HR Business Partners, internal subject matter experts and external providers, you’ll listen to the needs of the business, identify development priorities and ensure the right learning solutions are in place.
You won’t necessarily be expected to personally design and deliver every programme. Instead, you’ll be the central point for L&D – bringing together the right people, resources and providers and ensuring learning activity is engaging, relevant and aligned with wider business objectives.
We’re looking for a real people person – someone friendly, outgoing and approachable who can build credibility and strong internal relationships at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating leadership and management development programmes
- Managing graduate and early careers development initiatives
- Coordinating onboarding, behavioural, cultural and soft-skills training
- Managing mandatory and regulatory training, ensuring compliance and audit readiness
- Working with teams to identify skills gaps and appropriate development solutions
- Supporting sales and job-specific capability development
- Coordinating psychometric profiling, assessments and competency frameworks
- Supporting AI readiness, digital learning and new ways of working
- Monitoring learning engagement, feedback and effectiveness
- Sourcing and managing external training providers and partners
- Regular travel to London – approximately once a week
What We’re Looking For
- Previous L&D experience within a professional services environment
- Experience working within a regulated business
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A confident, friendly and engaging personality with a genuine ability to build relationships
- Strong organisational and programme coordination skills
- The ability to listen to the needs of the business and translate these into effective learning solutions
- Experience supporting leadership, management and wider employee development
- A commercial mindset and understanding of how L&D supports wider business objectives
- Confidence taking ownership of a newly created role and making it your own
- An interest in AI, digital learning and modern learning technology
