Memcom Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with the Institute of Regulation to recruit a Learning & Development Manager.

Established in 2021, the Institute is a growing professional membership organisation bringing together regulators from across the UK, including Ofgem, Ofsted, and the Civil Aviation Authority. With ambitious plans to expand its education offering, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.

The Opportunity

This newly created role offers the chance to take ownership of an established education and training portfolio, develop new learning initiatives, and help shape the Institute's future professional development offering.

Working closely with the COO and key stakeholders, you'll:

  • Lead the development and delivery of professional education programmes, including courses, webinars, and masterclasses.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the education portfolio and launch new training initiatives.
  • Build and manage relationships with external trainers, consultants, universities, and subject matter experts.
  • Support the growth of bespoke training and develop professional learning pathways.
  • Oversee programme quality, budgets, and delivery, ensuring an excellent learner experience.
  • Provide line management and support to the Events Officer.

About You

We're looking for an experienced education or learning and development professional with:

  • Proven experience developing and managing education or training programmes, ideally for external audiences.
  • Experience within a membership organisation, professional body, higher education, or training environment.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with external trainers and subject matter experts.
  • An understanding of professional education, CPD, and learning pathways.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and enthusiasm for developing new initiatives.
