Salary: circa £55,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid role with a base in Manchester city centre.
About The Role
The Growth Company (GC) is seeking an experienced Learning and Organisational Development Manager to join our HR team. Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), you will lead the delivery of learning, talent, leadership development, and change initiatives that strengthen capability, engagement, and performance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of organisational development, culture change, and learning initiatives aligned to the Corporate Plan and People Delivery Plan.
- Drive a high-performance culture through talent management, succession planning, leadership development, continuous improvement, and inclusive people practices.
- Design and implement learning and development strategies, frameworks, and annual plans that support organisational and colleague growth.
- Collaborate with senior leaders, managers, and stakeholders to deliver strategic people projects and organisational change programmes.
- Manage Learning Management System (LMS), talent, and performance management systems, ensuring they are effectively maintained and optimised.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, project outcomes, and organisational development activities to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead external accreditations, people standards, and best practice initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement across the organisation.
- Manage the Learning and Organisational Development budget, contracts, and external partnerships to deliver value for money and high-quality outcomes.

Skills Required
- CIPD qualified (Chartered, Graduate Membership, or equivalent professional experience).
- Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
- Significant experience leading organisational development, learning and development, and change management projects.
- Experience of developing and delivering strategic learning programmes and organisational development interventions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes successfully.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, organisational development principles, and people management best practice.
- Experience of presenting strategic recommendations and influencing senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce reports, presentations, and business cases to a high standard.
