- Has full driver’s licence with access to a car
- Is passionate about music, literature and widening access to the arts
We offer:
- A flexible 0.5 FTE role with hybrid working

- A supportive and collaborative team environment
- Salary: £32,000–£38,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.
- Location: Petworth, West Sussex.
The Role
The Learning & Participation Manager will co-ordinate and deliver Petworth Festival's Learning and Participation programme across music, literature, creative arts and year-round activity. The role will create meaningful opportunities for children, young people and adults to engage with artists, authors and musicians through inspiring and accessible learning experiences that broaden participation, foster creativity and deepen engagement with the Festival. This is a hands-on role for a highly motivated self-starter who is equally comfortable developing strategy, building partnerships and delivering projects and managing budgets with excellent financial oversight.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
