About The Role
Contract type: 6 Month fixed term contract with the potential to be extended.
Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week
Band & Salary: Band 4.B - £35,582 - £43,400 per annum depending on skills and experience
Location: Milton Keynes, Manchester, London or York (please note for Milton Keynes, you must be located within 90 minutes of The Quadrant office)
Working pattern: Hybrid working: this role permits hybrid working, employees are expected to work from a Network Rail location for minimum of 60% of their weekly hours, typically 3 days for full-time roles.

Main Responsibilities
- Analyse learning, assessment and assurance needs to create innovative, effective and cost-conscious training solutions that support business goals, organisational needs and deliver a great learner experience.
- Use your instructional design expertise to design and implement learning and assurance solutions across online, virtual, blended and face-to-face environments, ensuring they are delivered to agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards. This may include using technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital simulation.
- Facilitate training design workshops with key stakeholders to agree requirements, design approaches and project deliverables, while ensuring all solutions meet Network Rail's safety, accessibility, branding, diversity and inclusion standards.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, communicating regular updates on project progress to Portfolio Managers, senior leaders and subject matter experts throughout the development process.
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of learning design activities, identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance outcomes and apply lessons learned to future projects; to enhance the safety of the railway.
- Stay up to date with emerging learning trends and technologies, researching new training methodologies and applying this knowledge to help shape and evaluate innovative learning solutions.

What are we looking for?
- Demonstrable experience in designing, developing, and implementing creative, innovative and effective learning and development solutions, across a diverse range of disciplines and delivery methods.
- Experience of successful customer/stakeholder relationship management skills (Including arrange and chairing meetings with senior stakeholder).
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate personal accountability when striving for results, whilst consistently role-modelling core behaviours of collaboration and customer-centred decision making.
- Assess and challenge risky or unsafe actions, or poor behaviours of others.
- Ability to travel across Great Britain to meet and discuss with customers their requirements.
What could set you apart when applying?
- A learning and development qualification (e.g., CIPD).
- A relevant project management qualification (e.g., APM).
- Knowledge of the railway industry or a related engineering discipline.
