Role Details
Based at One Stratford Place with a Hybrid working pattern, giving you a balance of home and office-based work.
37-hour working week
Employment is subject to satisfactory Right to Work checks, a DBS check, and where applicable, a medical assessment.

Join our Talent Development team as a Learning Designer and help shape the future of digital learning at Greater Anglia. This is an exciting opportunity to design engaging, accessible and innovative learning solutions that deliver meaningful learning outcomes and support our business objectives.
Partnering with subject matter experts and colleagues across the business, you will create high-quality digital learning experiences, lead the development of our online learning offer, and help enhance GA Learn, our Docebo learning management system. Using technology, learner insight and data, you will continuously improve how colleagues access training and development, enabling them to work safely, effectively and confidently in their roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging digital learning programmes, assessments and resources using modern authoring tools (Articulate 360, Vyond, Adobe Creative Cloud) and effective learning design principles.
- Partner with subject matter experts, challenging and advising where appropriate, to turn complex information into clear, creative and memorable learning experiences.
- Design learning content that supports Greater Anglia’s business priorities, customer experience standards, Team Code, safety requirements and compliance obligations.
- Lead and advise on the transition of classroom and business learning programmes into effective digital and blended learning solutions.
- Manage, maintain and continually improve GA Learn, Greater Anglia's Docebo LMS, including platform administration, course deployment, user access, events, reporting and learner engagement.
- Analyse LMS data to monitor completion, engagement, and learner activity using insights to improve learning solutions.
- Develop reports and dashboards in collaboration with our People Data and Analytics and HR Systems teams.
- Work closely with the Safety team to ensure digital learning meets validation, compliance, audit and safety requirements.
- Partner with IT and Internal Communications to ensure learning technology and communication campaigns are joined up across the business.
- Work with our learning technology provider to identify new opportunities, features and technologies that can improve the learner experience.
- Research emerging learning technologies, including AI, and identify innovative and efficient new ways to enhance digital learning at Greater Anglia.
- Support learning campaigns and initiatives such as Adult Learner Week, Apprenticeships and wider colleague development activity. Provide workshops, roadshows and support to help colleagues get the most from GA Learn.
- Provide digital learning expertise across Engineering, Infrastructure, TSD and Major Projects, supporting the development of learning solutions that meet operational and business needs.
- Collaborate with the Management Development Partner and other members of the People Team or wider industry to deliver a connected learning experience.
- Support the Ticket Office Training programme, working with Peer Trainers and Heads of Customer Service to maintain quality and measure impact.
- Ensure learning content and documentation is accurate, accessible, up to date and stored appropriately.
- Support the development of the L&D Practitioner Apprentice through coaching, knowledge sharing, project management and practical experience.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
What we’re looking for:
- Proven previous experience designing and developing digital learning and e-learning, with the technical capability to maintain, manage and enhance GA's new LMS.
- Experience using learning authoring tools demonstrating how to craft and create interactive learning experiences.
- Experience project managing or leading on the development of an LMS, with full understanding of the back office administration and reporting techniques.
- Demonstrable understanding of applying learning design principles and adult learning frameworks and methodologies.
- The ability to work collaboratively with and challenge subject matter experts and turn their knowledge into relevant, engaging learning.
- Experience effectively using data and learner insight to improve learning.
- A good understanding of accessibility and inclusive digital learning techniques and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with compliance, safety or regulatory content.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A creative and curious approach, with a passion for enhancing technology and new emerging trends in learning and HR.
- The ability to challenge existing approaches and suggest better ways of doing things.
- The ability to manage multiple design projects and priorities while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Hold a recognised HR, learning & development, or learning design qualification (or equivalent relevant experience).
