Learning & Development Specialist

Location & Contract

  • Position: Field-Based (3 days office/site-based, hybrid)
  • Work Pattern: Permanent | ~37.5 hours/week (optional flexible hours for business needs)
  • Travel: Required as part of role

About the Role

The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist designs, delivers, and evaluates training that drives skill development, employee performance, and career success. You’ll partner with leaders, SMEs, and internal teams while leveraging modern tools and 21st-century best practices.

Job Responsibilities

1. Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Lead induction programmes, Carlsberg Group training (e.g., leadership development), workshops (soft skills, management), and sessions based on operational needs.
  • Driver of existing initiatives, e.g., Advancing Leadership Programme), blending classroom, virtual, and hybrid formats.
  • Act as a trainer-facilitator—boost engagement, encourage participation, and provide live coaching/mentorship.
  • Partner with Early Careers team to design learning pathways for graduates and apprentices.

2. Learning Content Development

  • Create new materials and update existing resources: presentations, guides, e-learning modules, and job aids.
  • Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to ensure content relevancy and quality.
  • Align content with adult learning principles and organisational standards.

3. Evaluation & Reporting

  • Collect and analyse feedback via surveys, evaluations, and performance metrics.
  • Measure training ROI using evidence-based methods to drive continuous improvement.
  • Use insights to recommend changes that enhance learning effectiveness.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and sustain relationships with employees, managers, leaders, and People & Culture.
  • Work as a trusted advisor to functions (e.g., operations, sales) by understanding and responding to learning needs.
  • Coordinate internal communication (promoting learning initiatives) and manage external partnerships (vendor/providers).

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed about emerging L&D trends, tech, and industry practices (e.g., AI-driven learning, microlearning).
  • Create and organise projects to enhance the organisation’s learning culture and employee growth.

6. Learning Needs Support

  • Help conduct needs analyses and skills gap assessments via employee/manager input.
  • Design tailored individual/team development plans aligned with business or career goals.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

✔ Demonstrable Learning & Development experience, including design and facilitation. ✔ Strong interpersonal skills for relationship-building and stakeholder management. ✔ Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams on a higher level).

Nice-to-Have

✔ FMCG/Product experience (preferable). ✔ Certifications in related fields (CIPD L5, coaching, MBTI etc.). ⇨ Not candidates restricted in areas of any certification.

Desirable Technologies

  • Digital L&D platforms workbook creation platforms or other authoring software (e.g., Articulate 360, Taleorama).
  • Business intelligence tools for analysing training data.
