About the Role:
Location: Aberdeenshire
Hours: Full-time
The Learning & Development Administrator will provide administrative support for learning and development activities across the organisation. The role responds to learning enquiries, arranges training, maintains accurate training and competency records, updates learning systems, monitors training deadlines and prepares routine reports. The role also supports induction activities and helps ensure learning records and processes are accurate, organised and audit ready.
This is an opportunity to build a career in Learning & Development while gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of activities, from coordinating training and supporting learning systems to helping deliver initiatives that make a real difference to our people. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business, develop valuable skills in a supportive environment, and play an important role in creating a positive learning experience for everyone at Motive.
About the Team:
Reporting to our Learning & Development Manager, you’ll join a small, dedicated L&D team committed to keeping everyone at Motive connected and supporting the business in making the difference it strives to achieve. Through Learning and Development, our mission is to equip our people with the knowledge, skills and opportunities they need to grow and succeed. This role will play a massive part in making that happen.
And you’ll be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment.

Responsibilities:
People
- Adopt and promote the Motive Offshore Group People Values, ensuring their use is embedded throughout.
- Be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.
Stakeholder Management
- Provide first-line support for learning and development queries from employees and managers.
- Support the administration of employee induction and onboarding learning activities.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials, training resources and course documentation.
Communication and Relationship Building
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
Planet
- Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in the promotion of People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance to the Motive Offshore Group HSEQ Policy, procedures, standards and regulatory obligations.
- Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.
Product
Training Administration
- Provide administrative support for learning and development activities across the organisation.
- Coordinate training bookings, joining instructions, venue arrangements and learner communications for internal and external training.
- Maintain the company training calendar, ensuring learning activities are accurately scheduled and communicated.
- Liaise with external training providers to arrange bookings and manage training administration.
Systems and Records
- Update and maintain employee training records, competency records and learning management systems (LMS), ensuring information is accurate, complete and up to date.
- Record completed training, qualifications and certifications, ensuring relevant documentation is securely stored.
- Ensure records and documentation are maintained to an audit-ready standard.
Compliance and Reporting
- Monitor training expiry dates and issue reminders to employees and managers.
- Produce reports on training attendance, completion rates and compliance.
Financial and Administrative Support
- Raise purchase requisitions and purchase orders for training activities and support the processing of invoices.
Stakeholder Support
- Provide first-line support for learning and development queries from employees and managers.
- Support the administration of employee induction and onboarding learning activities.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials, training resources and course documentation.
Continuous Improvement
- Support the Learning and Development team with projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
Required Skills / Knowledge:
Experience
- Experience in an administrative role, ideally within learning and development, training or human resources.
- Experience using learning management systems (LMS) or other business systems would be advantageous.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.

- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
