LEARNING ADVISER - 12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT

A top law firm is seeking a Learning Adviser to join its Human Resources department on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Learning Adviser to play a central role in the delivery of development programmes across the firm.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (see note below)

Location: London

Hours: Core hours 9.30am - 5.30pm, with flexibility required for early morning and evening training sessions

Contract type: 12-month fixed term contract

Office attendance: Four days per week in the office for the first six months to support onboarding and training, reviewed thereafter by your line manager

THE ROLE

The Learning Adviser will focus on the smooth running of Learning team processes and tasks, ensuring work is completed efficiently and delegated appropriately. The successful Learning Adviser will support client groups across the firm with bespoke initiatives and innovative projects, providing advice on routine tasks and proposing solutions for more complex ones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for junior and mid-level fee-earner programmes, including programme review and development
  • Responsibility for junior Business Team programmes, including programme review and development
  • Project managing key Learning programmes and curriculums, working with the Coordinator and/or Administrator to ensure smooth delivery
  • Designing, reviewing and delivering content such as workshops, webinars, e-learning and video scripts
  • Actively experimenting with new ideas, technology and AI to enhance the firm's learning offering
  • Supporting one-to-one learning opportunities for individuals across the firm where appropriate
  • Acting as a business partner for key Practice Areas and Business Teams functions, developing communication channels to discuss learning needs
  • Raising the profile of the Learning team through delivery, advice and relationships, encouraging a learning culture within the firm
  • Building relationships with external suppliers to ensure effective design and delivery of training solutions
  • Supporting Learning budget processes, including regular updates, reviews and forecasting conversations
  • Acting as a point of contact and escalating queries to team members as required
  • Providing ad-hoc support for wider HR projects and initiatives
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts across the business to create and curate learning content
  • Providing straightforward advice on learning opportunities available to individuals in different roles
  • Striving for continuous improvement of learning design, delivery, team processes and systems
  • Keeping up to date with the latest approaches to learning and development

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • A proactive manner with a strong client service focus
  • Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Curiosity and motivation to learn on the job
  • Experience overseeing programmes and managing projects
  • Experience of training delivery
  • Experience working with individuals one-to-one on development areas is desirable
  • Experience in a busy office environment is desirable
  • Experience using systems and databases
