Overview

Are you a practical, creative Learning and Development Advisor who’s ready to shape learning that helps people do their best work? This role gives you the space to own the full learning cycle and create training that’s useful, engaging, and easy to apply.

We’re looking for a Learning and Development Advisor to join our People & Culture team at Walker Morris. You’ll design and deliver tailored learning solutions for our legal and business services teams, helping colleagues build confidence, develop their careers, and make learning part of everyday working life.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the firm to understand what they need and turn that insight into engaging, practical learning solutions. A key part of the role is managing and developing the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring learning content is easy to access, relevant, and up to date. It’s a hands-on role with real ownership, from identifying learning needs and curating content to coordinating blended learning solutions across the firm.

As the Learning and Development Advisor, you will:

  • Design and deliver soft skills training for colleagues across the firm.
  • Consult with stakeholders to identify learning needs and align solutions with business goals.
  • Advise on learning programmes for trainee solicitors and solicitor apprentices, ensuring the sessions effectively support their development plan.
  • Coach and support colleagues to enhance performance and retention.
  • Manage the full learning cycle, including admin tasks like enrolments, tracking completions, and reporting.
  • Develop and Oversee the LMS (Learning Management System), ensuring content is up-to-date, accessible, and effectively managed.
  • Provide day-to-day learning administration support, including LMS content updates, managing relevant inboxes, and keeping training records accurate.
  • Support the planning and delivery of team-building days that bring colleagues together and strengthen how teams work.
  • Support firm-wide initiatives, events, and compliance training in collaboration with Risk & Compliance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
