Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for two Learning & Development (L&D) professionals to join our team as we implement our new L&D approach and expand our operational training team. The successful candidates will be part of a busy L&D team, providing functional support to help the organisation deliver its strategic aims and corporate priorities.
Job Description
Your day-to-day duties will be varied, allowing you to utilise your training experience and digital learning capabilities within a supportive team environment, while contributing to our key deliverables and goals. You will play an integral part in enhancing the learning and development experience across the organisation.
This role is based in the UK and sits within the People & Culture Directorate as part of the Learning & Development team.

Person specification
The ideal candidates will bring experience of working within a learning and development environment, delivering training activities both face-to-face and virtually, preferably in a hybrid-working context. They will possess a positive and solutions-focused mindset and as happy working within a team as they are independently. The successful candidate will be flexible in their approach and adaptable to provide the best solutions within scope. This role will have a positive impact to the work of the L&D team and some of our key priorities and deliverables. The role holder will have a L&D CIPD qualification or equivalent, or willing to undertake the qualification.

Our L&D team is based across the UK. This is a hybrid role, involving working from your nearest office location (Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and Newcastle) and from home. Frequent travel to other offices and locations across the UK is to be expected.

Essential Criteria:
- Proven practical experience in delivering impactful and engaging training sessions, both in-person and virtually.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Excellent time management abilities and proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Committed to own Continual Professional Development.
Desirable Criteria:
- Skilled facilitator with the ability to create immersive and engaging learning experiences.
- Knowledge of accessible design standards and inclusive design principles, ensuring equitable learning opportunities.
- Use of design software such as Articulate and Vyond, or similar platforms, to elevate the learning experience.
- CIPD Qualification, working towards qualification or willing to undertake relevant development.

Benefits
Salary and Pension
Alongside your salary of £27,000, The National Lottery Community Fund contributes £7,821 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. Find out what benefits a Civil Service Pension provides (opens in a new window).
Time off
The standard working week for full time staff is 37 hours, with a minimum 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day. We have a range of formal and informal flexible working options, and offer generous paid leave.

Generous annual leave
Annual leave is 25 days per year on joining The National Lottery Community Fund plus bank holidays, rising by one day every year of employment up to a total of 30 days. An additional three days of leave is given every year – normally at Christmas. Your entitlement will vary according to your date of appointment, and is pro rata for part-time employees.

Financial
Salary progression is based on the percentage increase allocated by HM Treasury on an annual basis. In addition to your salary, we offer several financial benefits.
Pension scheme
The Fund operates 2 pension schemes, Alpha, our Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme (PCSPS) and a Partnership Pension Scheme with Legal & General.
For Alpha, the employer’s contribution is between 26.6% and 30.3% and the employee contributions rates are between 4.6% and 8.05% depending on salary.
For Partnership, the employer’s contribution rate is between 8% to 14.75% of your earnings. You do not have to contribute to this scheme, but if you do, the Fund will match your contributions up to 3% of your pensionable pay.

Eye tests and glasses
All VDU users are eligible to a free eye test on appointment and at regular intervals thereafter. If as a result of the eye test you are prescribed special equipment or glasses for VDU use, we will pay the cost of basic lenses and frames within certain maximum limits.

Staff who are eligible for statutory maternity pay will receive full pay for the first 22 weeks of their maternity leave, plus enhanced pay benefits.
