OVERVIEW:
We're looking for an L&D Advisor to help shape, coordinate and deliver learning across our global estate. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves organisation, stakeholder management and learning facilitation. Initially, you'll take ownership of our compliance training landscape, bringing structure, visibility and accountability to mandatory learning across the business. From cyber security and health & safety training to onboarding and leadership development, you'll play a key role in creating a culture where learning is accessible, engaging and effective.
Working closely with subject matter experts, People teams and business leaders, you'll help build and deliver learning experiences that support both immediate compliance needs and longer-term capability development. With dedicated L&D investment available and exciting leadership programmes on the horizon, there's significant scope to grow and evolve this role as our learning offering matures.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Taking ownership of compliance training across the business, ensuring mandatory learning activities are coordinated, tracked and completed.
- Managing training records, completion rates, certification renewals and reporting, providing regular insights to stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Creating engaging and impactful learning content using tools such as Easygenerator, transforming essential training into meaningful learning experiences.
- Working with business experts to develop and maintain learning materials across areas including health & safety, cyber security, retail operations and other compliance-focused topics.
- Partnering closely with onboarding teams to build and continuously improve colleague onboarding journeys and learning pathways.
- Coordinating all learning activities, including scheduling, communications, room bookings, resources, attendance management and learner support.
- Supporting the delivery and ongoing administration of leadership and management development programmes.
- Working alongside internal stakeholders and external learning providers to source, coordinate and manage development opportunities.
- Supporting learning budget administration, training agreements and course approvals to ensure investment is used effectively.
- Managing apprenticeship levy activity and helping identify opportunities to maximise its impact across the business.
- Evaluating learning effectiveness through feedback, reporting and learner insights, using data to continuously improve programmes and engagement.
- Supporting the wider People team in building a scalable, modern and high-impact learning culture.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
