Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Ice Tea and Rockstar Energy.
With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 5 production facilities and 16 logistics depot’s servicing customers up and down the UK. As these two historical businesses have come together, the one common goal remains, and that is ensuring our people succeed.
About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and engaging Learning & Development professional to join our team and help create great learning experiences for our people.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has already gained some hands-on experience in training delivery and learning design and is ready to take the next step in their L&D career.
You’ll have a particular focus on delivering soft-skills and management development training, helping our mid-level managers build their confidence and capability, as well as leading our induction experience for new starters.
Working closely with our L&D Lead and colleagues across the business, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of learning activities while developing your own L&D skills and experience.
We’re looking for someone who is confident in front of a group, enjoys creating engaging learning experiences and is genuinely interested in helping people develop. We’re looking for someone with a good foundation of training experience who is keen to learn, develop and broaden their experience.
This is a hybrid, field-based role, with 3 days office/site based.
What You’ll Be Doing
Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Deliver engaging development training, with a particular focus on supporting our mid-level managers.
- Lead and continually improve our new-starter induction experience, helping new colleagues feel welcomed, informed and connected from day one.
- Facilitate existing learning programmes and workshops.
- Deliver learning through a variety of formats, including face-to-face, virtual and blended learning.
- Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where people feel comfortable participating, asking questions and sharing ideas.

Learning Design & Content
- Design and develop engaging learning materials, presentations, activities, guides and other learning resources.
- Work with subject matter experts and colleagues to create practical and relevant learning content.
- Apply your understanding of how adults learn to create engaging learning experiences.
- Review and update existing learning materials to keep them relevant and effective.
Working with Others & Continuous Improvement
- Build positive and collaborative relationships with employees, managers and colleagues across HR and the wider business.
- Work with different areas of the business to understand their learning needs and provide appropriate support.
- Gather feedback from learners and stakeholders and use this to help improve our learning programmes and learner experience.
- Communicate learning opportunities clearly and in an engaging way.
- Work with external training providers when required, with support from the L&D Lead.
- Bring your ideas and perspective to help us continually improve our learning offering.
- Support a range of L&D projects and initiatives, gaining experience across different areas of the function.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who already has practical experience of delivering training and is excited about continuing to develop their career in Learning & Development.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Experience of delivering training, ideally including soft-skills, people or management development.
- Some experience of designing learning or training materials, such as presentations, activities, guides or other learning resources.
- A confident, engaging and approachable facilitation style, with the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A genuine interest in helping people learn, develop and succeed.
- Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage different activities and priorities.
- Confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- A positive and proactive approach, with a willingness to learn, ask questions and develop your skills.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues across the business.

Desirable Experience & Skills
- Experience working in an FMCG, manufacturing or retail environment.
- Experience using digital learning or content development platforms.
- Experience delivering management training.
Qualifications
- A relevant qualification or professional development in Learning & Development, training, coaching or a related area would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.
- For example, CIPD, coaching or other relevant L&D qualifications would be welcomed.
Above all, we’re looking for someone with practical training experience who is enthusiastic about learning, developing their L&D skills and making a positive difference to our people.
