Maternity Cover

Would you like the opportunity to develop leaders and make a meaningful impact within a growing FMCG business?

DCS Group is the UK’s leading distributor, manufacturer and exporter of Health, Beauty and Household products. We work with some of the world’s largest brands and operate across Sales and Distribution, Manufacturing, Export, Co-Packing and Food.

Our mission is to bring great brands to everyone, everywhere. Everything we do is underpinned by our four values:

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Learning & Development Business Partner to join our Learning and Development team on a maternity-cover basis.

Reporting to the Head of Learning and Development, you will lead and maintain our Group-wide People Manager Excellence Programme for Band 4–6 managers. You will work in partnership with senior leaders, people managers and HR colleagues to strengthen leadership capability and create a culture of high performance, engagement and continuous development.

The role

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to secure their continued support for the development of managers and supervisors.
  • Maintaining the quality, content, format, communication and delivery of the People Manager Excellence Programme.
  • Managing programme logistics to provide a professional and seamless experience for participants, managers and support teams.
  • Designing and delivering engaging workshops, masterclasses, coaching sessions, eLearning modules and other development interventions.
  • Acting as an internal coach and consultant to support leaders throughout their development.
  • Partnering with HR and senior stakeholders to identify leadership and people-management development needs.
  • Supporting managers to build confidence in managing performance, colleague development, wellbeing and engagement.
  • Evaluating learning effectiveness through feedback, assessments, performance information and business outcomes.
  • Creating engaging, accessible and user-friendly digital learning content aligned with DCS leadership competencies and values.
  • Supporting the management and continued development of the Learning Management System.
  • Working with HR, Health and Safety and Quality colleagues to ensure training content meets legal, compliance and audit requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate training records in accordance with reporting and audit standards.
  • Supporting the induction of new colleagues and delivering the Learning and Development elements of the programme.
  • Contributing to the wider Learning and Development strategy and supporting other initiatives as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
