Job Description

Learning & Talent coordinator – Human Resources

Reports to: Learning & Development Manager

Contract term:
This is a full-time permanent position on Crick terms and conditions of employment.

About us

The Francis Crick Institute is Europe’s largest biomedical research institute under one roof. Our world-class scientists and staff collaborate on vital research to help prevent, diagnose and treat illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, infectious diseases and neurodegenerative conditions.

The Crick is a place for collaboration, innovation and exploration across many disciplines. A space where the brightest minds can pursue big and bold ideas and discover answers to crucial scientific questions. We support them in a dynamic environment which fosters excellence with state-of-the-art infrastructure, cutting-edge facilities, and a creative and curious culture. We’ve removed traditional boundaries of departments, divisions and disciplines and instead have an open approach that supports every researcher. This gives us the freedom to take risks and carry out high-quality, pioneering research. Creating a space for discovery without boundaries helps us to turn our science into benefits for human health and the economy.

About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Learning & Development Coordinator to join our Leadership, Learning & Culture (LLC) team and play a key role in supporting our learning, leadership development, talent and performance activities across the institute.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll work closely with colleagues across the LLC team, the wider People team and Communication team, helping to bring development programmes and initiatives to life. From coordinating learning activities and managing programme logistics to preparing resources, supporting communications and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, you’ll be at the heart of delivering a positive learning and development experience for colleagues across the institute.

You’ll also play an important role in supporting our talent and performance processes, maintaining accurate learning and talent data, and ensuring our systems and records are up to date and well managed. You’ll use our Workday system to support the administration of learning activities, produce reports and information, help monitor budgets and work with both internal colleagues and external partners to ensure programmes are delivered effectively.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
