Position: Learning & Development Lead
Location: Labman HQ, Stokesley, North Yorkshire
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday 37.5hrs)

About the Role

At Labman Automation, we design and build bespoke robotic systems that enable science through technology. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Learning & Development Lead to establish and drive our learning strategy across the business.

This is a unique opportunity to build an L&D function from the ground up, creating the frameworks, pathways and programmes that help our people develop, while remaining hands-on in the delivery of training.

We already have a wealth of technical expertise and training resources across the business. What we're looking for is someone who can bring structure, consistency and vision to how we develop people at every stage of their career.

What you'll be doing

This role combines strategic leadership with practical delivery. You'll work with teams across the business to identify development needs, create learning pathways and implement an L&D strategy that supports our continued growth. But this isn't a role where you'll simply commission training and manage providers. Around 25% of your time will be spent delivering training yourself.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
