About the role
As our L&D Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development at our Leominster site. This position will design, implement, and manage programmes to enhance employee capabilities, support operational excellence, and align workforce development with organisational goals.
The L&D Manager will collaborate with leadership, HR, and departmental teams to identify training needs, drive engagement, and promote best practices in learning and development.
You’ll lead, develop & deliver the Leominster Education and Training (E&T) Pillar and Master Plan focusing on increasing capability and creating a coaching culture to reduce losses and achieve site ambitions. You’ll also be a key part of the Regional E&T Pillar ensuring alignment to, and driving of, regional standards, attending meetings at other KP sites so own transport is a requirement for this role.

What will you be doing?
Ensure Compliance Excellence
Have a keen eye for detail, ensuring we maintain accurate training records and matrices, meet regulatory standards, and support audits by ensuring all colleagues meet compliance requirements.
Design and Deliver Impactful Training
Develop and implement tailored training programmes, including safety, technical and compliance training, using a variety of engaging methods such as workshops, e-learning and on-the-job training.
Drive Continuous Improvement
Partner with managers to assess skill gaps, align development initiatives with business goals, and evaluate programme effectiveness through metrics and feedback.
Nurture Leadership and Talent
Lead leadership development programmes, support succession planning, and develop high-potential colleagues in collaboration with Human Resources.
Champion Learning and Engagement
Foster a culture of continuous learning, align with regional best practices, and inspire colleague participation in growth opportunities.

Proven Training Expertise
Experience designing and delivering impactful technical, compliance and leadership programmes, with a strong grasp of adult learning principles.

Skilled in coaching, evaluating and enhancing others' skills; coaching accreditation is a plus.
Organisational Experience
Background in Learning and Development within complex organisations, balancing operational and functional priorities effectively.
Exceptional Project and Communication Skills
Adept at managing projects, facilitating sessions, and engaging diverse audiences.
Tech-Savvy
Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word, and experienced in leveraging digital tools for training excellence.
