Learning & Development Specialist

Department: Human Resources

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Reporting To: Head of Learning & Engagement

Description

WFS is in search of a proactive and innovative Learning and Development Specialist to play a key role in shaping and delivering our learning and development strategy. The successful candidate will be striving to foster a culture of continuous learning to improve employee performance, engagement and drive high standards of competence.

This role is based in our head office at London Heathrow.

Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be:-

  • A CAA Approved Avsec Instructor delivering high-quality security training at all levels and creating high performing screeners.
  • Engaging and effective delivery of all classroom training and induction sessions.
  • Developing and delivering a best in class training and assessment programme built around Work Instructions and mandatory requirements across all Warehouse and Office functions.
  • Working closely with the operational stakeholders and using data driven insights to identify training needs.
  • Ensuring all training content is reviewed and updated in line with any regulatory or business changes.
  • Working closely with the Digital Learning Developer to provide content and learning objectives to assist in creating e-learnings.
  • Creating and delivering a programme of competency-based assessments.
  • Monitoring and evaluating learning programmes and the effectiveness of these within the business, making improvements when required.
  • Conduct training need analysis based on Performance Reviews and business needs, designing learning pathway solutions.

To be successful in this role you will need:-

  • To be a CAA Approved Avsec Instructor (CIN)
  • A relevant qualification in Education and Training.
  • Exceptional training and coaching skills.
  • Enthusiastic communication skills and capable of building strong relationships at all levels.
  • Experience in defining, designing and delivering learning requirements and recommending solutions.
  • Drive to set ever higher standards and achieve results, with new thinking and fresh concepts.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • To be a drive for change processes, who enjoys a challenge.
  • To be proficient with Microsoft Office.
