Learning Disability Support Worker (Sherringham House)
Salary
- £13.85 per hour
- Plus sleep-in allowance of £80.00 per sleep-in
- Enhanced overtime rate
- Welcome Bonus of up to £350
Location
- Kenton, Newcastle upon Tyne
Hours
- Full and part-time roles available over a 7-day rota
- Both day roles and night roles available
About the Role
All we ask is that you have patience, a can-do attitude, and a desire to help others. Full training will be provided to successful candidates who share our vision of providing outstanding support to those living in our care.
As a Support Worker within our Independent Supported Living service, you will:
- Provide support to our tenants to develop the essential life skills they need to live as independently as possible in their own home.
- Support our tenants with day-to-day life skills, such as taking care of their homes, shopping, and cooking.
- Encourage community engagement and support our tenants to maintain friendships and interests, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
- Communicate effectively with the people you are caring for.
- Be required to complete Level 2 Health and Social Care if not already held.
