Learning Experience Specialist

Location: Flexible on location in the UK with visits to our office in Nottingham and Wimbledon as and when required.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Competitive

We're seeking an exceptional Learning Experience Specialist to join our Global People Team. This is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing, building and evolving modern learning experiences whilst shaping the methodologies, technologies, standards and governance that underpin learning at D&G.

The role combines expertise in learning design, learning technology, innovation, continuous improvement, performance improvement and evaluation to create scalable learning solutions that improve colleague capability and business performance. Working across global stakeholders, the role will influence the future direction of learning through experimentation, thought leadership, technology adoption and the continual evolution of our learning ecosystem. They’ll have the opportunity to influence strategic business decisions, lead people initiatives that drive performance and engagement, and support transformation across a dynamic international organisation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Contribute to the future learning vision and operating model for D&G.
  • Design, develop and implement innovative learning solutions across digital, blended and performance support formats.
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to diagnose capability gaps and identify effective solutions.
  • Define and evolve learning design methodologies, standards and frameworks.
  • Establish governance approaches that ensure consistency, quality and scalability.
  • Evaluate, pilot and recommend new learning technologies, AI tools and digital capabilities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the learning technology ecosystem.
  • Apply human-centred design principles to improve learner experiences.
  • Develop learning solutions using appropriate media including eLearning, simulations, video, audio and performance support resources.
  • Ensure learning solutions meet regulatory requirements, internal standards and branding guidelines.
  • Use learning analytics and evaluation data to improve effectiveness and demonstrate business impact.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes and continuous improvement activities.
  • Coach and mentor instructional designers and learning professionals in modern learning practices.
  • Build strong relationships with global stakeholders across the UK, Europe and US.
  • Manage multiple complex projects through the full learning lifecycle.

  • Advanced instructional design, learning experience design and adult learning principles
  • Experience of collaborating with stakeholders in a global remit.
  • Learning architecture and learning ecosystem design
  • Learning technology expertise including LMS, AI-enabled learning tools, authoring tools and digital learning platforms, rich media learning
  • Governance frameworks, quality standards and scalable learning methodologies
  • Human-centered design and learner journey mapping
  • Learning analytics, evaluation and business impact measurement
  • Innovation, experimentation and emerging learning technologies
  • Business acumen, stakeholder influence and organisational change
  • Ability to use a range of visual graphics, video and audio production tools to produce high-quality media assets for learning
