Location: Plymouth, Devon (School and Community Based)

Pay Rate: GBP92.50 - GBP95.00 per day

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term Time)

Contract Type: Long-Term

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference in young peoples lives? Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor in Plymouth to empower students, rebuild their educational confidence, and help them develop practical learning strategies.

This long-term position offers a great work-life balance with standard school hours, combining 1:1 support inside the classroom with engaging educational trips out in the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor young people on a 1:1 and small group basis to build resilience and academic confidence.
  • Help students develop personalised learning strategies and study habits.
  • Support pupils within the school setting and accompany them during learning activities in the community.
  • Act as a positive role model, tracking progress and working closely with school staff.

Role Requirements

  • Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Driving: A full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle is essential for community-based trips.
  • Traits: Strong communication, patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for youth mentorship.

What We Offer
