A warm and supportive primary school in Whitefield is seeking a dedicated and caring 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The school provides an inclusive and nurturing environment where pupils are supported to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
The successful candidate will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and build positive relationships within the school environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and making a positive difference to their education.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil throughout the school day.
- Supporting the pupil to access and engage with classroom learning.
- Adapting activities and providing additional support where required.
- Supporting the pupil's social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours.
- Building a strong and positive relationship with the pupil.
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team.
- Supporting the implementation of individual learning and support plans.
- Helping create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

The Successful Applicant Will
- Have previous experience working with children or young people.
- Have experience providing 1:1 support (desirable).
- Have experience supporting children with SEN (desirable).
- Be patient, caring, calm, and resilient.
- Be confident building positive relationships with pupils.
- Be proactive and able to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
- Have the right to work in the UK and full-time availability.
- Hold a child DBS.

08:30 - 15:30
