Learning Support Assistant - Stroud

Mainstream Primary School | ASAP Start | £90-£105 per day

Are you passionate about helping children learn, grow and reach their full potential? Are you looking to gain valuable experience in a primary school where you can make a real difference every day?

Academics are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Stroud that is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to support their learning, confidence and development. Whether you have previous experience in a school or are looking to take your first steps into education, a patient, positive and enthusiastic approach is key.

Every day will bring something different, from supporting children with classroom activities to providing one-to-one or small-group assistance.

  • Role: Learning Support Assistant
  • Location: Stroud
  • Setting: Mainstream Primary School
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Pay: £90-£105 per day, depending on experience
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Working Pattern: Term time only
  • DBS: An enhanced DBS is required, or you must be willing to apply for one

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Supporting pupils with their learning through one-to-one support and small-group activities.
  • Helping children develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
  • Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and classroom activities.
  • Adapting your approach to meet pupils' individual learning needs.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and helping maintain a calm, inclusive classroom.

Previous experience working with children is beneficial, particularly in a school, nursery, tutoring or childcare setting, but a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are equally important.
