Learning Support Assistant : Greenwich
Location: Greenwich, South East London
Start Date: 12th October 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Pay: GBP 95-GBP 115 per day, depending on experience
Are you an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant looking to make a difference in a Greenwich primary school?
We are working with a welcoming, inclusive primary school in Greenwich that is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join its team from 12th October. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children's learning, building positive relationships and helping pupils develop confidence and independence.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, You Will
- Support pupils across the primary age range with their learning and development.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support, including for pupils with additional needs.
- Assist with literacy, numeracy and classroom activities.
- Help pupils remain engaged, manage transitions and develop positive learning behaviours.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support individual learning needs.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant who:
- Has previous experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
- Is patient, proactive and confident building relationships with pupils.
- Can support children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD or social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
