Learning Support Assistant: Lambeth
Start Date: Monday 14th September 2026
Location: Lambeth, near Streatham Common
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Pay: GBP100-GBP120 per day, dependent on experience
About the Role
A popular, inclusive and community-focused primary school in Lambeth is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join its team.
This is not a purely classroom-based role. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with pupils who require additional help to engage with learning, develop independence, and build confidence throughout the school day.
With a strong focus on individual progress and positive relationships, the school offers an excellent environment for an experienced Learning Support Assistant or an ambitious graduate looking to develop a career in education.
What Will Your Role Look Like?
As a Learning Support Assistant, you may be working one-to-one with an individual pupil, supporting small groups, or assisting within the classroom, depending on the needs of the children.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs and SEND
- Delivering structured small-group activities and interventions
- Helping children access lessons through adapted resources and targeted support
- Encouraging positive behavior, independence, and emotional development
- Building trusting, professional relationships with pupils
- Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff
