A welcoming and well-led primary school in Lambeth is seeking an exceptional Learning Support Assistant to join its experienced inclusion team this September. This Learning Support Assistant role combines one-to-one support with small-group intervention work, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, social communication difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, You Will
- Deliver tailored one-to-one support for pupils with EHCPs
- Lead small-group interventions in phonics, reading, writing, and maths
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and outside professionals
- Celebrate progress and help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and independence

What We’re Looking For
The Successful Learning Support Assistant Will
- Have previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or SEND Support Assistant
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEND within a primary school
- Be calm, patient, and able to build excellent relationships with children
- Have strong communication skills and a proactive approach
- Be passionate about inclusive education and making a lasting impact
Graduates considering a career in teaching or educational psychology, as well as experienced Learning Support Assistants, are encouraged if they have relevant school-based experience.
