We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive College in South Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and supporting young people to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will provide tailored support to pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning and ensuring they feel confident, included and able to engage positively in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with their learning on a one-to-one and small-group basis
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks
  • Providing additional support to pupils with SEN and additional learning needs
  • Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement with learning
  • Adapting support to meet individual pupils' needs
  • Building positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment

About You

The Ideal Candidate Will Be

  • Patient, caring and approachable
  • Passionate about helping young people succeed
  • Reliable, proactive and adaptable
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Previous experience in a school, SEN, childcare, care or support setting is desirable but not essential
