Our client, a highly regarded educational institution located in Wigston, Leicestershire, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time Learning Support Assistant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the educational development and well-being of our students, fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

As a Full-time Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with our teaching staff to provide individualised assistance and care to students with diverse learning needs. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, helping students with academic tasks, facilitating one-on-one or small group learning sessions, and implementing tailored strategies to cater to each student's unique strengths and challenges.

The salary for this Full-time Learning Support Assistant position ranges from £100 to £120 per day, depending on your qualifications and relevant experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support and assistance to students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement tailored learning strategies and interventions
  • Facilitate one-on-one or small group learning sessions to help students achieve their academic goals
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff to inform instructional planning
  • Assist students with organisation, time management, and study skills
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and support provided

Qualifications And Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of diverse learning styles and strategies to support students with varying needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Proven track record of working effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficient in using educational technology and assistive tools to enhance student learning
  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to take on a variety of tasks to support student success
  • Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or a related field
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young learners
