Learning Support Assistant
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Marston Green Infant Academy is seeking to appoint a skilled Learning Support Assistant to support our SEND pupils. This post may include small group support, intervention, and lunchtime support.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a colleague who:
- Is able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of children with complex needs, such as social, emotional, and mental health.
- Is able to respond directly to our children’s needs and provide them with the relevant and timely support, especially with nurture.
- Is passionate about raising standards and is committed to our pupils.
- Is able to challenge and motivate all of our pupils to achieve their very best.
- Is enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- Is able to work independently and also plan co-operatively with colleagues.
- Has exemplary organizational and communication skills.

Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is essential.
- English and Maths GCSE grade C or above.
Hours and Salary
- Hours: Monday–Friday 12.15 pm–3.30 pm (16.25 hours) term time only.
- Salary: £9,645 - £9,951.
- This is a fixed-term post and will end 31 August 2027.
- Interviews will be held on Tuesday 20 October 2026.
