Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 and small:group lessons, adapting instructional approaches to meet individual student requirements across all subjects.
  • Promote student independence and dignity while assisting with daily routines and personal care.
  • Provide consistent, unwavering support, including the implementation of Epilepsy First Aid and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
  • Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, and support staff.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, maintain high professional standards, and communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.

Qualifications

  • English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Experience working with young people with complex disabilities, challenging behaviour, or in a support worker/teaching assistant capacity.
  • A willingness to work towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
  • Proven ability to record student progress and assist in curriculum delivery.
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK; successful candidates must undergo an enhanced DBS check.
