If so, our client, a highly respected educational institution in Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, invites you to consider an exciting opportunity as a full-time Learning Support Assistant.
In this dynamic role, you'll have the privilege of working alongside a dedicated team of educators, providing invaluable support to students with diverse learning needs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be as varied as the individuals you'll assist, ranging from one-on-one tutoring and small group facilitation to in-class support and tailored interventions.
- Provide personalised one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement tailored learning plans that address individual student goals
- Assist with in-class activities, ensuring that all students are actively engaged and supported
- Deliver targeted interventions and targeted support to help students overcome specific challenges
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents
- Maintain detailed records and documentation to track student progress and inform future planning
- Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and other collaborative activities
- Contribute to the creation of a warm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Role Requirements
- Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting
- A strong understanding of child development, learning styles, and inclusive teaching practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of young people
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Proficiency in using technology and digital tools to support student learning
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and adapt
- A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate or the ability to obtain one
