The Westminster School (SIPS)

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at The Westminster School.

About the Role

Our school caters for 305 pupils aged 7 - 19 years with a wide range of special educational needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Development Delay, and Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities. The School offers a comprehensive CPD programme and has been awarded the Investors in People Platinum Award. School occupies state-of-the-art facilities on a £42million Rowley Learning Campus.

The successful candidate will be:

  • A Learning Support Assistant who:
    • Is an excellent role model and has excellent skills in supporting students with special educational needs
    • Has high expectations and aspirations for all our students, supporting them to achieve their full potential
    • Can work as part of an innovative, dynamic and supportive team
    • Will fully support the School’s values, ethos and aims
    • Is a Level 2 qualified learning support assistant

Job Details

Hours: 32.5 hours per week (Term time only + 5 INSET Days)

  • Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri: 8.40am to 3.15pm (including 30 minutes lunch-break)
  • Tues – 8.40am to 5.00pm (including 30 minutes lunch-break)

(Plus 20 minutes contingency time)

Grade: Grade C, SCP 5-8 (£25,583 - £26,824 p.a.) Actual Salary £20,051 p.a. - £21,296 p.a.

Location: The Westminster School, Hawes Lane, Rowley Regis, West Midlands, B65 9AL

Closing Date: Wednesday 23rd September 2026 at 9.00am
