Role Overview
You will play a key role in coordinating support, leading a team of LSAs and TAs, and working closely with curriculum teams, parents/carers, and external agencies.
What We're Looking For
- Strong knowledge of SEND, including EHCPs and the Annual Review process
- Experience of Exam Access Arrangements (EAA)
- Proven experience of supervising or leading staff
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to analyse practice and drive improvements
- Effective communicator, able to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
- A proactive, solution-focused approach
- A positive and professional role model
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the effective delivery of learning support in English and maths by managing, deploying, and developing support staff, ensuring that students with EHCPs, High Needs funding, or additional needs receive appropriate, inclusive support that promotes engagement, wellbeing, attendance, and positive behaviour.
- Support staff planning assessments, target setting, and progress monitoring using the graduated approach; maintain accurate records, while evaluating the impact of support to inform continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the EHCP annual review processes, working closely with parents, carers, Local Authorities, and other stakeholders to meet statutory requirements, while collaborating with curriculum teams, external agencies, and college staff to ensure clear communication of student needs and contribute to wider college activities.
- Support quality assurance and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with safeguarding, equality, and SEND requirements, and maintaining accurate, audit-ready records.
- Review enrolment levels and contribute to systems, including High Needs funding, exam access arrangements, and student data, to ensure accuracy.
