Make a difference by supporting learners to succeed

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Learning Support Practitioner to join our Prison Education team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners with additional learning needs, helping them overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve their potential.

Working alongside tutors and education staff, you'll play an essential role in ensuring all learners receive tailored support to succeed in their studies and beyond.

What you'll be doing

Learner Support & Engagement

  • Build positive relationships with learners to understand their needs and support their learning journey
  • Provide tailored, in-class or one-to-one support for learners with additional learning needs (ALN), including disabilities
  • Inspire, motivate, and help learners develop confidence, independence, and self-advocacy skills
  • Monitor learner wellbeing and check progress regularly through face-to-face reviews

Support Planning & Review

  • Develop and maintain course-specific support plans aligned to the SEND graduated approach
  • Review and update support plans regularly, including for learners transferring between establishments
  • Use assessment tools (e.g. Do It Profiler) to inform tailored learning strategies
  • Record and manage all support documentation accurately within MoJ systems

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
