About Steer Automotive Group

At Steer Automotive Group, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Guided by our values of Excellence, Innovation, and Integrity, we are committed to delivering a measurably different colleague experience while supporting the continued growth and success of our business.

We are now seeking an exceptional Learning & Talent Development Manager to join our People Team in a pivotal leadership role, partnering with senior operational leaders and driving a high-impact people strategy across the region.

The Role

The Learning & Talent Development Manager is the lead specialist for learning, talent, and organisational development at Steer Automotive Group. The role owns the design, delivery and continuous improvement of learning programmes across the Group, manages the Learning Management System and builds the frameworks that identify, develop and retain talent across the business.

The postholder is a credible, hands-on practitioner who is equally comfortable designing strategic frameworks and personally facilitating training programmes. They play a central role in equipping managers and colleagues with the skills needed to deliver, building career pathways and succession plans that sustain the talent pipeline and working closely with HRBPs and the wider People Function to keep learning and talent activity aligned to business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Design & Delivery

  • Design, develop and deliver engaging learning programmes for colleagues at all levels, including induction and management development.
  • Create and curate blended learning content (face-to-face, virtual, e-learning, on-the-job resources) that is accessible to a largely non-digital, site-based workforce.
  • Facilitate training workshops and programmes directly, including management and leadership development.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions using appropriate measures and continuously improve provision based on learner and business feedback.
  • Partner with operational leaders and HRBPs to identify training needs and develop targeted solutions aligned to business priorities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
