What you'll do

Lease Management Team

The Lease Management Team at Viasat oversees our portfolio of spectrum leases. We authorize new leases and implement them according to agreed performance standards. Throughout the lease's lifetime, we ensure it operates at the service level required and manage any changes or incidents affecting its operation. We also update processes and procedures to accommodate new lease types and the evolving Viasat network. Our team collaborates with various groups across the business and a wide range of commercial and government customers to ensure the smooth operation of the lease business at Viasat.

Primary Role Purpose

The Lease Engineer is responsible for the technical operation of L-band and Ka-band lease products used by customers for point-to-multipoint, Internet of Things (IoT), or high bandwidth services. They work within a team of seven and report to the Lease Management Director. The role requires on-call support on a shift basis.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
