Primary purpose of position
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Marketing Director leads the definition, communication and commercial positioning of Leasys in the UK market. As a member of the Executive Committee, the role contributes to and leads the commercial proposition for Leasys UK.
The role leads product and pricing strategy to deliver profitability, sales volume and a competitive commercial proposition. It is accountable for campaigns and pricing, new product delivery, manufacturer relationships, brand communications, media, digital strategy, key events and the effective management of the marketing budget.
The Marketing Director also leads Business Intelligence to enable effective commercial performance, informed decision-making and continued business development.
Please note, this is an SM&CR Certification role, so candidates should be comfortable working within an FCA-regulated SM&CR environment and meeting the associated fit and proper requirements.
Drivers of Success
- Sales performance against budget targets through delivery of strong campaigns and pricing; being the lead point of contact for the Manufacturer’s senior management team
- Revenue growth in line with budget requirements, including delivery of spread targets and services revenue.
- Development and implementation of the annual marketing plan within the agreed marketing budget.
- Timely delivery of Business Intelligence reporting, along with developing the team to be the point of referral for market awareness and data
- Compliance with regulatory requirements, including timely delivery of audit recommendations and implementation of processes and procedures.

- A competitive and profitable commercial proposition for Leasys UK.
- Direct and indirect channel pricing strategies, commercial policy and campaigns for retailer and broker networks.
- Competitive campaigns developed with Stellantis brand and fleet teams; be the business relationship owner for Manufacturer relationships
- A multi-marque manufacturer strategy that supports funding requirements for large corporate customers.
- An integrated communications, media, experiential and digital strategy that stimulates customer demand and improves the customer journey.
- New B2B products and services supported by ongoing market benchmarking.
- Commercial Business Intelligence reporting, analysis and recommendations for the Executive Committee; to include owning market insight
- Quarterly Commercial Committee governance and oversight of regulatory and compliance requirements for the business area.

Necessary actions to achieve deliverables
- Lead, set clear direction for and develop the Marketing team.
- Define market price positioning for direct and indirect channels and deliver campaigns across retailer and broker networks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Stellantis brand management teams and fleet stakeholders and negotiate competitive campaigns.
- Work with multi-marque manufacturers to develop funding solutions for large corporate customers.
- Plan and deliver marketing communications, media, digital activity and key events within budget.
- Develop and launch innovative products and services for the B2B channel, using consistent benchmarking to maintain competitiveness.
- Oversee commercial Business Intelligence requirements, analyse performance and recommend actions that support sales growth and performance improvement.
- Provide regular Executive Committee reporting and make recommendations that balance competitiveness with profitability.
- Chair and own the quarterly Commercial Committee and maintain appropriate processes and procedures for the business area.

Required experience:
- Commercial and/or sales experience, with knowledge of pricing components, is desirable.
- Experience in the Automotive Industry is essential, with leasing and / or manufacturer experience being desirable
- Experience of media and marketing communications is advantageous but not essential.
- People management experience is essential.
- Analytical experience is essential.
Technical Skills and Personal characteristics:
- Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of product marketing and pricing techniques.
- Strong people leadership and management capability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage and influence upwards and across a matrix organisation.
- Strong analytical capability and the ability to make sound recommendations.
- Basic Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are desirable.
- High levels of autonomy, creativity, collaboration and attention to detail.
