Glasgow Clyde College is proud of its outstanding teaching, inclusive student experience, and commitment to providing high-quality, career-focused education. The Faculty of Health, Wellbeing and Management is looking to recruit Temporary Lecturers in Childhood Practice to deliver a range of programmes and courses within the curriculum area.

Staff within the team will contribute to the design, delivery, and assessment of engaging learning experiences for a diverse group of students at various levels, supporting them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment in Childhood Practice, using a range of learning technologies;
  • Support students to improve engagement, retention, and success;
  • Deliver structured content to learners from SCQF level 4 to SCQF level 8;
  • Contribute to curriculum development and ensure course content remains current and relevant; and
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain professional knowledge through ongoing development.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be educated to SCQF Level 8 (HND or qualification of equivalent standard) or have relevant skills and experience in Childhood Practice;
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to a wide range of student groups;
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously; and
  • Have appropriate IT skills and be confident in using digital learning tools.
