Job Description

JOB TITLE: LECTURER - COUNSELLING
LOCATION: WISBECH (WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF SOME TEACHING AT KINGS LYNN IN THE FUTURE)
HOURS: 15 PER WEEK (TO INCLUDE SOME EVENING SESSIONS)
SALARY: £12,934 - £16,311 PER ANNUM (£31,904 - £40,233 FTE)
Due to the continued success and growth of our counselling courses we are looking for an additional experienced Lecturer to join our team across the King’s Lynn and Wisbech campuses. We have thriving level 2 to 4 courses and plan to offer degree courses in counselling at College of West Anglia to further develop our counselling provision.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a part-time role where they can truly give something back to the profession. You will primarily deliver on our level 4 class, however, may be required to support modules on both level 2 and 3.
You must be a practising counsellor, holding professional registration (such as BACP) to meet our examining body requirements, and hold a minimum of a degree level counselling qualification, have a minimum of two years experience and hold a teaching qualification.

Please note that your point on the salary scale will be determined based on both experience and teaching qualifications. Appointments will not be made at point 12 or above (£37,454 FTE) without a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.
We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving health and social care team and in recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength.
