Job Title: Lecturer - English
Permanent, Full Time (Part Time possible)
Colchester Campus
About the Role:
- Deliver and support engaging lessons in English
- Work with learners who require additional support to achieve GCSE qualifications
- Build students’ confidence, skills, and readiness for future pathways
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with experienced FE lecturers and mentors
- Develop your teaching practice through a structured training programme
- Support learners’ progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further study

Essential Experience:
- Experience supporting or leading classroom sessions (e.g. HLTA, Cover Supervisor, or similar)
- Confidence managing groups of learners in an educational setting
- A passion for supporting students to achieve their potential
Essential Qualifications:
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
- A relevant subject background in English (desirable but not essential depending on experience)
