Lecturer in English
Carshalton & Merton Colleges, part of the South Thames Colleges Group, is now looking to appoint a Lecturer in English.
The focus of this role is to teach a combination of GCSE English Language and English Functional Skills, predominantly to students aged 16-19 years of age. It will include preparing students for exams, marking homework and mock exams, providing constructive feedback, setting targets for students, monitoring attendance and student progress, and where appropriate, curriculum development.

Requirements
- Degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject
- Excellent teaching skills in GCSE English and Functional Skills English
- High personal standards and expectations
- Awareness of academic quality standards
- Ability to support, motivate and empathise with learners
- Monitoring their progress
