Location: Paisley
Salary: £43,402 to £52,247 per annum
Full Time, Fixed Term to 30th June 2027

West College Scotland is looking for knowledgeable and enthusiastic individuals. You will be qualified to SCQF level 9 and will have a recognised TESOL qualification (Cambridge CELTA or equivalent) as well as evidence of relevant CPD. Candidates must be passionate about supporting and motivating our students. You must be able to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
You Will Also Have Experience Of The Following
- Teaching ESOL to adults at various levels and in a wide range of contexts.
- Delivering accredited ESOL qualifications.
- Multilingual and monolingual groups.
As a Lecturer In Languages And ESOL, You Will
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with current curriculum standards.
- Support and guide students to achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain professional expertise and engage in ongoing development.

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum SCQF Level 9 qualification (e.g. HND) or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Recognised TESOL qualification (Cambridge CELTA or equivalent).
- Relevant commercial or industrial experience within the sector.
- Delivery experience in the subject area.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classes effectively and work as part of a team.
Previous teaching or lecturing experience is desirable; however, if you are new to teaching, we will support you in making this exciting career change.
Successful candidates should be prepared to work towards a professional teaching qualification.
