Role Overview
The post-holder will be a motivated, enthusiastic and resilient practitioner with a strong commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), barriers to learning, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, and those who may have experienced disrupted education, extended periods out of learning, or be at risk of becoming, or currently identified as, NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training). They will deliver highly effective Teaching, Learning and Assessment across a Foundation Learning timetable, creating engaging, practical and meaningful learning experiences that re-engage students and build confidence, independence and employability skills.

Responsibilities
- Maximising learners’ potential to make positive progress towards their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes, personal aspirations and sustainable progression destinations.
- Developing positive relationships with learners, managing challenging situations effectively, and adapting teaching approaches to meet a wide range of individual needs.
- Promoting inclusive practice, delivering high-quality lessons and developing personalised teaching, learning and assessment strategies that support participation, achievement and personal development.

Requirements
- Experience working with learners with SEND, SEMH and/or those facing significant barriers to education.
- A specialist area of expertise that enhances the Foundation Learning curriculum.
- Commitment to creating a supportive, nurturing and aspirational learning environment that enables all learners to succeed and progress.
