Job Details

We are recruiting for a full-time role, working 37 hours per week within our Animal Management department, based at our Puxton Park campus.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will need to have up to date knowledge and understanding of Biological Science which relates to Animal Management. As a Lecturer in Animal Management - Biological Science, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a number of Animal Management programmes as agreed with the Head of Area.
  • Tutorship of students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards.
  • Meeting targets with reference to student progress on programme, for their attendance and retention.
  • Providing advice and guidance to students in their progression to either employment or other courses within the College.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree-level qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Teaching experience and knowledge of current teaching strategies.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills.
  • You will also need to either hold a teaching qualification, or be willing to gain this whilst in post (with the support of Weston College).
