An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oaklands for a chef lecturer to provide learning for the next generation of chefs.

We are looking for a chef lecturer to join our team and play a crucial role in providing learning for the next generation of chefs. In this position, you will teach and mentor students across Entry 3 to Level 2 in professional cookery, food safety and employability skills. You will also support in the delivery of commercial events and experiences.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Level 3 in Professional Cookery
- At least 5 years of industry experience
- Level 2 in Food Safety
- Passionate and committed to providing high standards in assessment and feedback
A desirable candidate will have:
- An assessors and quality assurance qualification
- A relevant teaching qualification (training can be provided if not)

About You
• Ability to work well with students of all backgrounds • Ability to work both collaboratively with colleagues and on their own initiative • A flexible and solution-focused approach to work • Drive and passion to implement curriculum developments • Up to date industry experience • Effective organisational skills (self and workload) • Extensive knowledge of own subject area • (In addition to teaching ability) effective verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency with software needed in role • Experience of working with people in a learning environment
