Chester Medical School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team as a Lecturer in Clinical Biochemistry or Clinical Genetics. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our growing programmes in Biomedical Science and Medical Science.
Role And Responsibilities
- Provide a supportive learning environment for students, helping them develop both graduate-level and subject-specific skills.
- Deliver teaching in areas such as biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, oncology.
- Contribute to independent and collaborative research activities, with opportunities to work with NHS partners and other health providers.
- Supervise research dissertations at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Qualifications
- A good first degree in Biomedical Science or a related field.
- A Master’s level qualification is essential.
- PGCert in Higher Education or Fellowship of the HEA (or willingness to achieve this).
Experience And Skills
- Expertise to deliver lectures in clinical biochemistry, genetics and related subjects.
- Previous teaching experience in higher education.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, lead module and programme development, and provide high-quality pastoral support to students.
