Are you a passionate and experienced educator with expertise in primary science, looking to inspire the next generation of teachers?
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced applicant to join our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) Primary Science and Education Studies team at the University of Brighton. In this fixed-term, Part-time role (0.4 Full time equivalent) based at our Falmer campus, you will join a collaborative and supportive team committed to delivering high-quality teaching and an excellent student experience.
Our ITE Primary Science and Education Studies provision is highly regarded, with strong student outcomes and a clear commitment to inclusive, practice-informed learning. You will play a key role in shaping the learning of trainee teachers and education students across both subject-specific and wider education provision.
Your Role Will Include
- Delivering engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops across ITE Primary Science and Education Studies provision
- Contributing to assessment and academic support
- Supporting students in school-based training and professional learning
- Contributing to curriculum development and course review
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner schools

We’re Looking For a Colleague Who Has
- A relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification
- Significant primary experience, with particular expertise in primary science
- Experience of supporting trainee teachers or contributing to ITE Primary Science and Education Studies provision (or extensive relevant experience)
