Lecturer in Electrical Installation

You will contribute to ensuring a positive learning environment which encourages active participation and enables all learners to achieve their full potential, through the effective learning and teaching of students by assisting in the development, delivery and assessment of relevant resources.
This will involve supporting the Curriculum Quality Manager in the delivery of the department curriculum to the quality and standards required, through an integrated learning experience that supports the student journey, delivering first-class and high-quality learning and teaching experiences.
The successful candidate will bring strong subject knowledge across electrical Installation principles. Experience or knowledge of industrial applications, renewable energy, or power distribution would be advantageous.
Applicants should be passionate about inspiring the next generation of electricians and capable of delivering an engaging blend of practical and theoretical learning. A commitment to high-quality learning, teaching and assessment is essential, alongside the ability to support students with a wide range of backgrounds, including school leavers, adult returners, and those progressing from vocational routes.

You should be qualified in Electrical Installation with industrial experience within a related field and knowledge of current industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies, particularly within renewable energy. A degree in an Electrical discipline would be advantageous. Previous experience of training apprentices or knowledge of the apprenticeship framework would be an advantage.
The successful candidate should have experience of working with industry partners or an understanding of employer needs within the electrical sector, and have the ability to contextualise electrical theory into real-world applications. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support learners to achieve positive outcomes.
