About The School Of Pharmacy And Biomolecular Sciences
The School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences is at the forefront of higher education in Pharmacy, Biomedical Science, Forensic Science, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Science, and related areas. As a result of this expertise, the school has excellent working relationships with law enforcement agencies, pharmaceutical providers, the NHS, and industry.
From investigating human diseases, including diagnostic and treatment strategies; new methods of drug delivery; to working with police forces to provide new forensic analytical methods and techniques; the school has a wide range of expertise and areas of interest.
What we’re looking for
We are now seeking to appoint a part-time Lecturer in Microbiology to contribute to the teaching and administration of the School’s Foundation, BSc Biochemistry and Biotechnology programmes under the Biomolecular Team’s remit, as well as other relevant undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will complement existing research/teaching activities in the above areas within the school and be encouraged to contribute to research and academic citizenship activity within the School and Faculty, utilising the world-class research facilities available in the Life Science Building as well as in the James Parsons Building.

You will ideally have a PhD qualification in Microbiology or another closely related scientific discipline or be able to demonstrate the ability to create and disseminate knowledge at an equivalent level. You should have teaching and/or research related experience in an area of Microbiology. Some experience of industrial microbiology would be welcomed.
