Lecturer in Sport (0.6)

£15,849 - £19,812 per annum (pro rata to £26,416 - £33,020 per annum), dependent on qualifications and experience

We require a Lecturer to join our highly successful team of Lecturers in the Sports Department at our Peter Paine Sports Centre in Boston*. This role includes delivering Level 1 to 6 qualifications to post 16 learners and delivery of BTEC, OCR and NCFE qualifications in Sport. There may be the potential to deliver Active IQ qualifications dependent on relevant qualifications and experience.

You should have a minimum Degree in Sport or related subject, and/or extensive knowledge and skills working in the Sports/fitness sector. It is also preferable that you have a teaching qualification and relevant teaching experience, however the College will fund this training for anyone who does not hold a teaching certificate. A Master’s Degree, Gym Instructor and Sports Massage qualifications are desirable. Sport forms a department with Uniformed Public Services, so there is potential to deliver in this area too, should your skills allow.

You will need to be confident in sharing information with individuals and groups, effective in managing time and resources and able to contribute to team success. You will be working within a strong team of experienced colleagues and have the opportunity to shape and develop a young person’s future, meeting their career aims and aspirations whether that’s University, Further Education or into their chosen Sport career.
